May 13, 2008
The meeting
was called to order at 7:32pm.
Members Present: L. Knauss, R. Handwerk, D. Handwerk,
C. Puigdollers, S. Ullman, C. Williams, H. Dress, B. Castro, C. Otto, L.
Cortese, B. Dowling
Review of Minutes: April 8, 2008 minutes approved as
written.
Treasurers Report: The account balance is 16,891.89 of
which 9,145.10 represent student account monies and 7,746.79 is
in the Boosters account.
Outstanding
expenses: Wildwood reimbursement expenses, Awards night, scholarships.
Directors Report: Mr. Britton not at meeting. Lynne Knauss went over Directors report.
Presidents Report:
1. Education Foundation update – Head
of Education Foundation, Rocky
D., waiting to meet with Craig Wigley.
2.
Communications/Webpage updated all the time.
3. By-Laws need to
be reviewed. Lynne Knauss looking for any comments for revisions.
4. Marching Band
Open Houses – Hospitality will have refreshments for new members, videos will
be set up, brochures will be made available.
Committees:
1. Special Events – Instrumental Music
Concert – May 15, 2008
L. Cortese has bake sale table planned
Videos and brochures will be available.
2.
Memorial Day - Rehearsal dates
5/20 & 5/22.
3.
Annual Awards Night – Corinne has everything ready.
4. Hospitality – R. Handwerk
will set up refreshment tables for Open
Houses. S. Ullman donated hotdogs for Wildwood. R. Handwerk spent 322.39
for Subs, Burgers & pizza on Wildwood trip.
5. Uniform – Uniforms
will be worn for Memorial Day Parade in
6. Chaperone –
Chaperones all set for Band Camp. R. Handwerk will restock medical kit. Will
ask school nurse about donating some supplies.
7. Equipment –
Equipment in good shape at end of season.
Dwayne needs more volunteers for truck.
Tractors need repairs. Looking for donation of a new tractor.
8. Decorations –
Cheryl has flags for concert.
9. Publicity/Website – L. Cortese looking to get band
schedule out to the public.
10. Fundraising – May 10 Car Wash/Can Drive/Pretzel Sale
successful. Raised $794.55. Ad Books for
Spring Concert not a success. Discussed different ideas for next year.
