2009 DRUMLINE OFF-SEASON
TRAINING PROGRAM

Our percussion staff is starting up the Off-Season Training
program for interested percussionists and keyboardists looking
to be a part of the 2009 Marching Band. Next week's
get-together is more informational and parents are invited to
attend. Please print, distribute & post the attached
flyer.
Also, students who are "on the fence" are encouraged to come out
& give it a try without any pressure or obligation.
Here are some details
in case any kids have questions:
- The practices will be held at the RV Band Room (F113)
next to the Performing Arts Center
- All practices will be 7-9pm on Wednesdays.
- The Drumline is the
marching percussion section (snare, quads, bass drums & cymbals)
- The Front Ensemble (Pit)
is non-marching and uses an array of keyboard percussion,
electronics (synth, bass and/or guitar) and concert percussion.
- Each group, Drumline & Front Ensemble, will flip-flop
Wednesday practices. Therefore, each section will only be
in twice per month.
- We have open spots in both sections.
